Leadership Team

Joe Schweppe is a multi-year veteran of the payroll/HR outsourcing business. He has mastered the ability to help companies improve efficiency by incorporating technology with outsourced services. His vision to help companies effectively manage their ever-increasing employer responsibilities and his passion for providing personal, responsive service led Joe to co-found Integrated Payroll Services (IPS) in 2005 with Coray Grove (now Inova’s CRO). Under Joe’s leadership, IPS organically grew from a two-man partnership to a firm with over 55 employees serving 1,500 customers. IPS experienced at least double-digit revenue growth every year, including the pandemic years.

Joe’s goal was to someday merge with a larger firm that shared a similar product mix, company culture, and commitment to personal, client service and success. In 2021 IPS merged with Inova Payroll, where Joe is currently serving as president.

A graduate of Saint Louis University with a Finance Degree, Joe began his professional career in the payroll/HR service industry with Automatic Data Processing (ADP). He spent 17 years with ADP, quickly rising through the ranks to Major Accounts Area Sales Executive. Joe has served as president of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, St. Louis Chapter 2014/2015 and currently serves as an advisory board member at Triad Bank and on the finance committee for the City of Warson Woods, MO.

He lives in St. Louis where his interests outside of work include boating, BBQ, DIY projects and running to keep up with his two daughters. Joe has served as president of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, St. Louis Chapter 2014/2015 and currently serves as an advisory board member at Triad Bank and on the finance committee for the City of Warson Woods, MO.
