Inova Payroll received the 2020 Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Tennessee award at a celebration Thursday, February 20, 2020, at the Hutton Hotel in Nashville.

Inova Payroll CEO, Farsheed Ferdowsi, was among 20 founders recognized for starting and leading the fastest-growing midsized businesses in Tennessee.

The Roaring 20 Awards Banquet began with hors d’oeuvres and drinks, allowing attendees to make introductions and network. The ceremony started as 2019 ACG Tennessee president, Kolin Holladay of Polsinelli Law, and chair of the 2020 Roaring 20 Awards, Kalpi Desai of Goldman Sachs, welcomed guests. Dawn Patrick, managing partner with Cherry Bekaert, the presenting sponsor, made opening remarks and introduced the presenter of winners Lauren Lowrey of WSMV.

As Lowrey read a description of each winning company, the founders were presented with the awards, and then short videos played. Each video featured the company founder who shared how the business was started, how challenges are faced, and what drives growth for their organization.

“The most important part of this business journey is, in a way, a legacy,” said Ferdowsi in the ACG award video for Inova Payroll. “We are one of the top ten service providers in our industry.”

Founded in 1954, the Association for Corporate Growth is a global community for middle-market mergers and acquisitions deal makers and business leaders focused on growth. The Tennessee chapter launched in Memphis in 2004 and was expanded to a statewide chapter in 2010. This is the first awards celebration for the Tennessee chapter of ACG, and they plan to make it an annual event.
