Client Service Representative – Atlanta

The client service representative is responsible for the accurate and timely production of client payrolls and related reports. This position is responsible for front-line/day-to-day communication with assigned clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains an assigned base of payroll clients, provides customer service support and resolves client issues and concerns, establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clients
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the Evolution software
  • Interacts with client base via telephone, and/or email to obtain payroll data including hours worked, salary adjustments, special payments and employee deductions
  • Accurately keys all payroll related data necessary to process client payrolls
  • Ensures deadlines are met and payrolls and reports are produced accurately
  • Provides client training by explaining the various reports and products available via Evolution
  • Point person for filtering information to the client regarding compliance or miscellaneous initiatives
  • Escalates or transfers client issues to immediate manager or appropriate department as necessary
  • Other administrative and clerical tasks as assigned or requested, including maintaining client files, covering phones and payrolls for others, assisting distribution specialists as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Detail orientated, with ability to focus on and comprehend numerical and financial data
  • Customer-service oriented, excellent phone manners required
  • Ability to work under time constraints and meet schedules; at times with unexpected deadlines, to ensure client’s payroll needs are met
  • Ability to multitask; interacting with clients and all internal customers or coworkers
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Windows PC environment with accurate data entry/keyboarding skills
  • Must achieve leveling advancement as per required schedule
  • Maintain positive attitude and follow direction of immediate manager

Education and Experience

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Previous payroll industry experience preferred, with working knowledge of payroll, wage and tax laws and regulations
  • Customer service/call center/help desk experience helpful
